I have just launched my company with the acceptance of my first contract and with a bid proposal I'm putting together. The name is not very original, but it pretty well sums up what I do. When I needed to have a name, I tried to think of something unique, but all I could think of was a description of what I, and my company, will be doing.
I currently have one contact that I'm going to start on soon, one in the process of discover and bidding, and a non-profit site that I'm working on for free. I'm in the process of getting together a portfolio of prior work from the 8 years I worked at Camalott Communications, then the final year with Abilene Internet (5 months) and Texas Communications (7 months)

I have gotten certification from Zend as a Zend Certified Engineer. For PHP, of course. It was a good thing to get - the amount of study that I did taught me so many things. I had learned the PHP language on the fly - starting from before there was even a book on the language. This was a systematic study of the language, and I picked up on many features that I didn't know about because I had never directly used them. Many I am using now.

Anodyne Treatments - a life saver
I've recently finished an anodyne treatment for my Peripheral Neuropathy pain and it has worked. What that means is that I'm now open for business again - after being out of the loop for the last 3 months. You cannot believe how having a lot of pain on a daily basis reduces your ability to work. Now it is gone - oh, not the day to day, but the spikes or breakthroughs are so much less. Oddly enough, I thought that the treatment was a bunch of voodoo, but happily, it was not.
